LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

McDonald's restaurants in Southern Nevada will raise money Friday for the families affected by the June 8 shooting rampage.

Investigators said Jared Miller, and his wife, Amanda, walked into a pizza parlor and killed Las Vegas Metro police officers Igor Soldo and Alyn Beck. They said the couple then walked to a nearby Walmart and shot and killed Joseph Wilcox when he tried to stop the rampaging couple.

On Friday, all area McDonald's locations will donate a dollar from every breakfast sandwich, premium large sandwich, McWrap or salad that is sold. The money raised will then be split between the Injured Police Officers Fund and the Wilcox family.

"We feel like, as a group, with over 100 locations here in Southern Nevada, we're able to do something," Greater Las Vegas McDonald's Operator Association President James Vance said. "And we all felt like we anted to be a part of this."

Vance said he expects the fast-food chain to donate at least $35,000 as a result of the fundraiser.
