Police said the death of a man whose body was found near downtown Las Vegas on Wednesday appeared to be the result of natural causes.
The Clark County Coroner's Office released the identity of the man as 50-year-old Steven Padilla. His cause of death remained pending Thursday.
The man's body was found about 1:50 p.m. in the 1400 block of South Third Street, near the intersection of Las Vegas and Charleston boulevards.
Las Vegas Metro police spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said a caller reported a man was lying on the ground and not moving. She said the man was pronounced dead when rescue crews arrived.
An investigator at the scene told FOX5's crew that it appears the man died from natural causes.
