Henrico Police looking for alleged West End pimp

Posted: Updated:

Right now Henrico Police are looking for an alleged pimp who worked in Henrico's West End.

Keynon Reynolds is from Richmond and is wanted for failing to obey a court order. He faces a number of prostitution charges stemming from selling two women for sex.  They allegedly worked out of hotels along West Broad Street near Glendside Drive.

For many people, the search for sex starts online.  For police officers it's the start of an investigation and according to court documents it tells the journey of an alleged pimp.

It says Reynolds and two women traveled from Kentucky to Tennessee, then to Henrico's West End.  An officer was able to contact the two women on Backpage.com under the escort section.

The affidavit says once the women were arrested, one of them admitted, Reynolds was actually her pimp and she was afraid he would hurt her if she told on him.  The affidavit says she told the officer, Reynolds was known as ‘Choice.'

According to the woman, Reynolds advertised her on Backpage.com.  She says she slept with up to eleven men and made about $2,600 dollars.  She says he kept all of the money.

"When they're day in, day out having to serve a clientele, or being forced to have sex with the men, that's rape on a daily basis," says Joshua Bailey with the Gray Haven Project.  The organization specializes in helping victims of human trafficking; including women under the power of a pimp.

The organization is one of a kind in Central Virginia and even built a safe house for these women.
They hope to help them look to a better future, but it's not easy.  "Those layers of trauma start to compound after a certain amount of time where it's really hard to hard for that person to see their future as something positive or not," says Bailey.

Court records show Reynolds is charged with several felonies, but had a bond hearing.  If you know anything that could help police with their investigation call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
