The man arrested in connection with a west Las Vegas homicide has been identified.

According to police, 36-year-old Marvin Moran was arrested on Friday after homicide detectives were sent to the 2600 block of South Durango Drive just south of Sahara Avenue on Friday after a person was found dead.

Police said officers responded to the address at approximately 6:17 a.m. and found an unresponsive woman who appeared to have been severely beaten.

After a preliminary investigation, LVMPD homicide detectives learned that the homicide was domestic-related and arrested Moran.

Moran has been charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping, according to police. He is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center.
