LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas firefighters on Thursday night battled a house fire on the west side of town.

The fire, at a house on Huntly Road, near South Buffalo Drive and Westcliff Drive, was reported at 9:21 p.m.

According to a tweet by Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, heavy fire was showing from the second floor of the house. Crews were ordered to evacuate from inside the house and battle it from the outside.

Clark County Fire spokesman Tim Szymanski said there was a report of a person trapped inside the house but that turned out not to be the case. He said the five adults who live in the house all made it out. One of them was treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
