Las Vegas is getting one more blessing from Lorde in 2014.
The 17-year-old musician, who came out of obscurity and took over radio airwaves over the last year, has lined up a Sept. 30 date at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Tickets, which start at $39.50, go on sale Friday.
The New Zealand-native Lorde, who also goes by Ella Yelich-O'Connor, has garnered high-profile festival and show appearances and awards in the past year. The accolades have been the result of her chart-topping debut single Royals and her debut album Pure Heroine.
In April, Lorde performed to sold-out crowds on back-to-back nights at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. She also was part of a high-profile performance with the surviving members of Nirvana during the band's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
The new Las Vegas date was announced as part of her fall North American tour. The dates also include several festival appearances such as Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits.
Tickets for the concert go on sale at the Hard Rock Hotel box office, at AXS.comor at 1-888-929-7849.
