LAKE MEAD (FOX5) -

The National Park Service on Friday reported one of the two launch ramps at Echo Bay on Lake Mead has temporarily closed due to low water.

Echo Bay is located in the northern portion of Lake Mead, near Valley of Fire State Park. It attracts a lot of visitors from Utah.

The Park Service said the main launch ramp was closed Friday but that the low-water launch ramp remains open.

Echo Bay features a store, campgrounds, RV parking and a fish cleaning station, all of which remain open.

The Park Service said it's estimated water levels at Lake Mead will drop another 10 feet over the next few months.
