The Clark County Coroner's Office released Thursday the identity of a woman who was found dead in a burning home southwest of the Las Vegas Valley.

Medical examiners, though, did not immediately disclose the cause of death for Diane E. Gorny, 67, of Jean, NV.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, the woman's body was found inside a home that was on fire at 401 N. Spring St. in Sandy Valley on May 5.

Police said homicide investigators were called to the scene after firefighters reported finding the body.

It was not immediately clear at the time whether the person died as a result of the fire.

Clark County Fire Department said three canines were also found dead inside the home.

Sandy Valley, NV is located in extreme southwest Clark County near the Nevada-California border. The town is nearly 60 miles from Las Vegas.
