LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Metro responded to the scene of a shooting late Friday night after hearing reports of shots fired near Mountain Vista Street and Vegas Valley Drive.

Watch commander Lt. Michael Wallace said this happened at 11:15 p.m. in the 4500 block of Carriage Park Drive. Upon police arrival, a deceased man with an apparent gunshot wound was found in a vehicle parked in the middle of the driveway in the apartment complex.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the person as 29-year-old Isiah Bogges from Las Vegas. He died from a gunshot wound to the back, and his death was ruled a homicide.

LVMPD Homicide Detectives say the victim had been in a park across the street from the apartment earlier in the night and was involved in a verbal altercation with another man. The victim drove away from the area, and when he returned to the apartment complex parking lot, multiple shots were fired by an unknown suspect.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
