LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

If more proof was needed that Las Vegas has evolved into one of the nation's top foodie destinations, one enormous and diverse event will provide it.

Seventy of the top chefs from all over the world have descended on the Strip for Vegas Uncork'd. Bobby Flay, Gordon Ramsay and Mario Batali are just some of the culinary stars cooking at hotels including The Venetian, Caesars Palace and Aria.

Buddy Valastro of Cake Boss fame is just one of 70 chefs participating in what has become an iconic food festival.

"You don't realize how much culinary talent you have in one city. There is no cuisine on earth like Vegas," Valastro said.

Now in its eighth year, Vegas Uncork'd is put together by Bon Appétit Magazine.

The four-day event includes 50 separate events.

"Where else do you get these fantastic, incredible chefs in one place, in one city at the same time to pay homage to the people, the guests that support them by celebrating their cuisine?" asked Frank Pellegrino Jr., who owns Rao's at Caesars Palace.

The most popular event is the Grand Tasting at Caesars Palace. It's set for Friday, and nearly every chef will participate. Tickets for that event start at $225.
