Mother and child transported to hospital after hit-and-run
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Police say a mother and her child were transported to the hospital after a vehicle struck them near north Lamb Boulevard and east Owens Avenue on Saturday.
Watch Commander Lt. Glaude said, at approximately 12:47 p.m. a mother and her 4-year-old child were walking north on the sidewalk at 1401 north Lamb Boulevard when a gray Honda exiting a private driveway ran into them and fled the scene.
Shortly after the incident, Metro units found the driver and issued the man several citations. Glaude said there is no indication that alcohol and drugs are a factor in this case.
Police said the mother and her child were transported to Sunrise Hospital. The 4-year-old suffered minor injuries to one arm, and the mother received minor injuries to her neck and back.
