Henderson police said authorities have captured a man suspected of breaking into a number of Las Vegas Valley homes and swiping small items in under a minute.

Michael Hoffman, 36, was taken into custody on March 25, accused in multiple burglaries in Henderson and Las Vegas. According to police, DNA evidence at a break-in in Las Vegas linked Hoffman through his criminal history dating back to 2000.

Police also said a warranted search of his home produced evidence connecting him to several of those burglaries. They also believe his red Ford F-150 pickup truck was commonly seen at a number of the burglaries.

In the heists, police said Hoffman broke into the homes and grabbed any small, easy-to-carry items he can find within 20 to 30 seconds.

Hoffman was booked into Clark County Detention Center. Henderson police charged him with five counts of burglary and five counts of possession of stolen property.

An investigation was ongoing into the incidents connected to Hoffman.
