Despite a season that will end without a postseason bowl, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebels will be seen on national television at least four times during their 2014 campaign.
The school's athletics department said the Rebels will be featured on ESPN telecasts during four Saturday games. Of those games, the Rebels will be seen at San Diego State on Sept. 27, at San Jose State on Oct. 4, at Utah State on Oct. 25 and at home in the season-ending Battle for the Fremont Cannon vs. Nevada-Reno on Nov. 29.
The athletics department said UNLV will be seen on ESPNU three times and the online-only ESPN3 service once.
Kickoff times as well as which game will be seen on the channels will be released at a later date, usually in ESPN's 12-day window, UNLV said.
The Rebels' 2014 season kicks off at University of Arizona on Aug. 29. Their home opener is slated versus Northern Colorado on Sept. 6.
Earlier this month, the Rebels football team was banned from 2014 postseason play in the Mountain West as well as an eligible bowl game after falling short of academic standards.
