A 25-year-old Las Vegas man was identified as the person who was found shot to death on Monday in a desert area in the south end of the Valley.
The Clark County Coroner's Office said Rashard Acuna died of a gunshot wound of the lower back as a result of a homicide.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, Acuna's body was found by Neal Avenue, near Interstate 15 and Las Vegas Boulevard South, about 7:30 p.m. Monday.
A spokesperson for Metro said detectives have not identified any suspects in the shooting. A homicide investigation was ongoing.
