HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

A man and woman were arrested in Henderson on Thursday, accused of abducting the woman's non-custodial son and holding him for nearly a month, police said.

According to Henderson police, Karl R. Menz, 50, and Virginia Lynch, 49, were taken into custody in the area of Boulder Highway and Lake Mead Parkway about 1 p.m.

Police said information from the FBI led officers to a white U-Haul van the couple was believed to be driving.

According to police, the two took the woman's 3-year-old autistic son from a Burger King in Crestview, FL on March 6 during a supervised visit. The couple did not have custodial rights to the child.

The man and woman were taken into custody without incident and the boy was found unharmed in the back of the van, police said.

The boy was then placed in the custody of Clark County Child Protective Services.

Menz and Lynch were booked into Henderson Detention Center for possession of a stolen vehicle and outstanding warrants.
