Police: Robbery suspect struck female clerk in face

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police are seeking help in finding two men who robbed an unnamed business at gunpoint with one of the suspects punching a female clerk in the face.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, the robbery happened about 5:25 a.m. on March 12 in the area of Charleston and Rainbow boulevards.

Police said an armed man approached the checkout counter and produced a gun, pointing it at the clerk. At the same time, another man walked around, to behind the counter, approached the female employee and punched her in the face, police said.

The suspects took money from the register and merchandise from the store before fleeing on foot.

Police described the gunman in the heist as a black man, 20 to 30 years old, about 5'9" and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark sweatshirt.

Detectives described the other suspect as a black man, 20 to 30 years old, about 6' and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a plaid sweatshirt and a scarf around his mouth and nose.

Police urged anyone with information on the suspects to contact Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
