LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police have not yet identified any suspects in a double shooting that left one person dead and another wounded in the southwest valley Thursday.

Police reported the shooting before 8:45 p.m. near Jones Boulevard and Robindale Road.

According to police, the victim who died was found in the back of a sport-utility vehicle parked about 100 yards outside of a convenience store. He had been shot in the head.

Another victim walked into the convenience store with a bullet wound to the lower body.

Police on Friday said a preliminary investigation indicates the victims arrived at the location together in the SUV. A third man arrived separately and joined the other two in the vehicle. Police believe the shooting victims attempted to rob the man but he opened fire on both of them before fleeing the scene.

No suspects have been identified.
