A little girl who's been away from her Las Vegas home for nearly five months finally returned Friday afternoon, singing and smiling.

Six-year-old Brazyl Ward was hit by a car on Halloween night. She's now home, months ahead of schedule.

Brazyl was released from a rehabilitation facility and got home about 5 p.m. Friday. She wasn't expected home until this summer, but she made so much progress in rehab, she got to come home early.

"And I feel better, so much better now," Brazyl sang when she arrived home.

Brazyl underwent multiple surgeries and months of therapy. She will continue her recovery at home. She's still relearning how to walk, talk and use the right side of her body.

"Nothing's impossible, she's proved that to me," said Brazyl's mother, Tiffany Ward.

Tiffany Ward has been scrambling to decorate her daughter's room with a Little Mermaid theme.

"Every time she tries to lift her arm, she still has a smile on her face, even if it hurts. She'll have tears coming down her eyes and still have a smile on her face," Tiffany Ward said.

For now, Brazyl's family is focused on her rather than the driver who fled the scene of the crash.

"Hopefully that person will wake up one day and say, ‘I can't live with that secret no more,'" Tiffany Ward said.

Brazyl's family wants to include the community in her upcoming 7th birthday celebration. They're planning a big bash in the coming weeks.

"I don't think she realizes she's already made us more proud than we could ever be," Tiffany Ward said.
