The Clark County Coroner's Office released Friday the name of the second moped rider who died after a hit-and-run crash on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Medical examiners ruled Nicholas Monday, 20, of Las Vegas, died of multiple injuries as a result of an accident.
Monday and 21-year-old Phillip Le Nguyen were identified as the two people riding a motorized scooter that was struck from behind by a pickup truck about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday on Las Vegas Boulevard South and Windmill Lane, according to police.
In the incident, the driver of a 2008 Ford pickup truck slammed into the back of the moped that was stopped at a stop light southbound.
Police said the truck continued driving with the moped attached to the front of it. The truck was located a half-mile from the scene without a driver inside.
Police went to the address the missing driver is registered, but no one answered the door.
Officers are still seeking the driver of the pickup.
The incident represented the 20th and 21st traffic-related fatalities this year in Metro's jurisdiction.
