LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The third annual An Evening with Dave Rice fundraiser has found the perfect host. Las Vegas native and Runnin' Rebels fan Jimmy Kimmel has agreed to do the honors.

The fundraiser, which raises money for autism-related organizations throughout southern Nevada, is set for Saturday May 17, at the MGM Grand.

"We're beyond excited to have Jimmy Kimmel as the host of this year's event, and we expect it to be the biggest and best yet," said Dave Rice, head coach for the UNLV men's basketball team. "This is a cause near and dear to both of our hearts."

In addition to hosting and serving as executive producer for ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel serves on the board of directors for the Dave Rice Foundation.

"What the Dave Rice Foundation is doing for families affected by autism is immeasurable. As a Las Vegas native, I am proud to assist Coach Rice in these meaningful efforts," Kimmel said.

An Evening with Dave Rice will include a VIP cocktail reception and silent auction followed by a gourmet sit-down dinner with a live auction and entertainment.

Items up for auction include memorabilia autographed by Kimmel, Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali and others. You can also bid on show tickets and dinners at some of Las Vegas' finest restaurants.

For tickets and more information, visit www.davericefoundation.org or call 702-586-4180.
