A 71-year-old man has died after he was struck while on a bicycle in North Scottsdale on Friday night.
A four-door Sedan was heading northbound on Pima Road about 5:30 p.m. when the driver hit a bicyclist at Dixileta Road, according to Scottsdale police spokesman David Pubins.
The 71-year-old was taken to a Scottsdale hospital where he died.
Alcohol and speed were not factors, police said.
"No citations were issued as the rider moved into the traffic way where he was struck," a Scottsdale police spokesman said in a statement.
The victim has not been identified at this time.
