CHANDLER, AZ (CBS5) -

Valley police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for at least four indecent exposures since October 2012.

Chandler police spokesman Sgt. Joe Favazzo said a group of young women reported a man had exposed his genitals to them about 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Based on his vehicle information, detectives were able to find the suspect, John Y. Kim in the area of McQueen and Ocotillo roads in Chandler.

Kim of Chandler was arrested about 5 p.m. Friday for numerous counts of public sexual indecency to a minor and indecent exposure.

Chandler detectives said they were able to tie Kim to the following cases:

  • October 2012 - Near the area of Willis Junior High School in Chandler
  • February 2013 - Near the area of Alma School and Guadalupe Road in Mesa
  • February 2013 - Near Ray Road and Frye in Chandler
  • Friday - Near Hamilton and Erie in Chandler.

"He's a predator, there's no other way to label this," said Sergeant Joe Favazzo with the Chandler Police Department. "This is a predator and this is the type of people, that if they're not stopped, if they're not in custody, that will resort to other things to gain their satisfaction."

The Chandler Police are encouraging anyone with information regarding Kim to call the Chandler Police Department at 480-782-4130.
