A man was found dead Wednesday morning after crews responded to a fire at an apartment complex in the west side of Las Vegas.
The coroner has identified the male as 53-year-old Thomas Sinclair of Las Vegas. The cause of death and manner has not yet been released.
Clark County Fire Department reported calls of the blaze at 3:05 a.m. at a complex on Edmond Street near W. Hacienda Avenue.
Crews from CCFD and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue arrived to find smoke coming from a unit, according to CCFD.
Firefighters then entered a unit to find a man dead. Crews were able to knock down the fire about 15 minutes after it started.
CCFD noted the caller who reported the fire did not get an answer from his neighbor when he knocked on his door. Apartments adjoining the affected unit were evacuated. There were no other injuries reported.
Officials estimated damage at $30,000. Fire investigators continued to look in to the cause of blaze.
