LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The office of the Clark County Coroner on Wednesday identified a woman ejected from an SUV Tuesday night on Torrey Pines Drive as Deja Allen, 30, of Las Vegas.

Allen's death was ruled a result of multiple injuries, a suicide.

According to Metro police, Allen was a passenger in a GMC Yukon that was traveling north on Torrey Pines near Copperfield Avenue about 10:30 p.m.

According to the driver and evidence gathered at the scene, Allen was in the backseat of the SUV when, for unknown reasons, she opened the door while the vehicle was in motion.

Police said the driver became distracted by Allen's actions and struck a light pole. Allen was ejected and later pronounced dead at the scene.

Police do not believe the driver was under the influence.
