LAKE LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The festival doesn't get started until June 20, and already producer Insomniac reports tickets for the 2014 Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) are gone.
The lineup has yet to be released, but VIP and general admission tickets have sold out. More than 40,000 fans are expected for the three-day music and art festival at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Insomniac claims EDC is the largest dance music festival in the world and projects this year's event will be the largest in its 20-year history.
"An event like this doesn't sell out without the support of loyal, passionate fans, and we've got the best ones out there," Insomniac CEO and founder Pasquale Rotella said. "Many of this year's new elements and surprises are directly inspired by them. I'm so grateful for their dedication, and I want to give them the adventure of a lifetime."
Last year's festival included seven stages, pyrotechnics and other special effects.
Insomniac, citing an economic impact report, said the festival in 2013 pumped about $278 million into Clark County's economy.
