Scooter-riding man sought in Henderson heist

HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

Police said they want to question a man, who was last seen riding a scooter, in connection with a theft from a Henderson jewelry store last month.

The theft happened Feb. 27 at a store near the Galleria at Sunset, at the intersection of Sunset Road and Stephanie Street.

Henderson police offered no specifics about the theft.

The man was described as black, mustached and about 300 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black jacket, blue jeans, dark blue baseball cap and black-framed glasses. They said the man was seen leaving the store on a motorized scooter.

Anyone with information about the man's identity or whereabouts was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
