2 people injured after RAA van crashes in Powhatan

POWHATAN, VA (WWBT) -

Two people are injured after a Richmond Ambulance Authority van crashed in Powhatan.

According to State Police, the call came in around 11:30 a.m. The van was traveling westbound on Route 60 when it went off the left side of the road and crashed into some trees near Ballsville Road.

The van was heading to Cumberland County to pick up a patient.

Two men were injured in the crash. A 19-year-old male was taken by ambulance and a 27-year-old male was medflighted to VCU Medical Center.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
