LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police released photos Monday of three people being sought as persons of interest in a fatal shooting that took place outside of an east Las Vegas convenience store.

Authorities said the shooting on Saturday resulted in the death of Juan Edward Cervantes, 27.

Las Vegas Metro police said Cervantes and his wife were confronted by a group of people outside a convenience store about 7 p.m. in the area of 21st Street and Stewart Avenue.

The couple entered the store and left only to be met again by the same group, police said. Police said a person fired multiple shots, hitting Cervantes.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police consider the people in the photos released Monday only as persons of interest.

Police urged anyone with information on the case to contact Metro's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
