NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

An off-duty Las Vegas police officer shot and killed himself in a North Las Vegas casino parking garage late Friday night.

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the man as 44-year-old Harold Byron Twigg from Henderson, NV. The cause and manner of Twigg's death haven't been released.

Twigg, a 15-year veteran at LVMPD, shot and killed himself at 11 p.m. in the parking garage of the Fiesta Rancho Casino in North Las Vegas according to a Fox5 source.

North Las Vegas police confirm they are investigating the death of a person who was shot on the second floor of the Fiesta Rancho Casino at 11 p.m. Friday, but declined to release any additional details about the incident.

A source tells Fox5 that Twigg was at former Metro Captain David O'Leary's retirement party earlier in the evening. O'Leary recently retired after an internal investigation was launched for arranging a private ride in a Metro helicopter for a musician's wedding proposal.

A police source tells Fox5 this officer's death could have been related to a domestic dispute.
