LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A court date was continued Friday for a boxer accused of helping set a Las Vegas pet store on fire with 27 canines inside.

Kirk Bills, 27, was booked into Clark County Detention Center on Thursday after being captured on an arrest warrant in Indiana on Feb. 7. Bills' charges include arson, burglary and 27 counts of attempted animal cruelty.

Bills' court appearance was set for Monday at 8:30 a.m. in Las Vegas Justice Court.

Earlier this month, authorities identified Bills as a suspected accomplice in the Jan. 27 fire of the Prince and Princess Puppies and Boutique.

In an arrest report, investigators accused the pet store's owner Gloria Lee, 35, with planning to set the business ablaze with 27 canines inside. Documents also described video surveillance footage that captured a person identified as Lee letting in a man who had spread gasoline throughout the store before lighting a fire there.

Documents said an automatic sprinkler system was able to put out the blaze. The canines were not seriously injured.

Lee was subsequently arrested while state attorneys found enough evidence to have a warrant issued for Bills' arrest.

An FBI Violent Crimes Task Force arrested Bills south of his hometown of Chicago in Crown Point, IN.

Lee was also being held at CCDC on $310,000 bail.
