The UNLV men's basketball team, currently third in the Mountain West, hopes to improve upon a 76-73 victory over New Mexico when it hosts them Wednesday at the Thomas & Mack.
The Runnin' Rebels will get a second crack at the second place Lobos beginning at 8:05 p.m.
UNLV is coming off two straight victories and has emerged victorious in six of its last seven games and 14 of the last 18.
UNLV beat New Mexico at The Pit on Jan. 15.
On Saturday, the Runnin' Rebels topped Utah State 73-62 on the road, with Khem Birch one block shy of a triple-double. He managed his 12th double-double of the year with 11 points, 12 rebounds and nine blocked shots.
Kevin Olekaibe put up a team-leading 21 points, and Bryce Dejean-Jones contributed 17 points from the field.
The game will be televised on ESPN2 with Brent Musburger and Bobby Knight calling the action. You can also catch the game on the radio at 1100/98.9 FM.
FOX5 will be at the game and will have highlights beginning at 10 p.m.
