LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A fight between neighbors led to a standoff in western Las Vegas on Sunday night.

The standoff started about 6:30 p.m. at a home on Skytrail Avenue, near the intersection of Alta and Buffalo drives.

Las Vegas Metro police said someone reported two neighbors were fighting, and one had pointed a gun at the other's head. They said that when officers arrived, the man believed to have pointed the gun at his neighbor had locked himself inside a house.

Witnesses told FOX5's Rachel Moore that they heard several loud bangs near the end of the standoff.

Police said the man surrendered to officers about 10 p.m.
