LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A Las Vegas man was identified as the driver who, police say, was thrown from a vehicle that traveled through a stop sign and struck another car.

The Clark County Coroner's Office did not immediately release a cause of death for William John Bushelle, 38.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Bushelle was the driver of a 2003 Toyota Tacoma that was traveling westbound on Washburn Road at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police said the Tacoma was approaching a stop sign at Durango Drive when it traveled through the traffic control device.

The sport-utility vehicle then struck a 1995 Chrysler New Yorker that was traveling southbound on Durango, causing the Toyota to roll over, police said. The driver was ejected from the vehicle as a result.

Bushelle was pronounced dead at the scene while his passenger was rushed to University Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Two people inside the Chrysler sustained minor injuries.

According to Metro, Bushelle's death represented the 13th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction this year.
