LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

U.S. 95 reopened late Tuesday morning after it was shut down in both directions.

Nevada Highway Patrol said a person was threatening to jump off the Cheyenne Avenue overpass over the southbound lanes

Trooper Jeremie Elliott of Nevada Highway Patrol confirmed the closure stemming from the situation involving the person. NHP also said drivers were being forced to exit Cheyenne.

The highway was reopened just before 11 a.m. Authorities said the person did not jump.
