LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Authorities released the name of a driver who died in a rollover crash just off the 215 Beltway on Sunday.

According to the Clark County Coroner's Office, Maurice A. Rucker, 32, of Las Vegas, was the person who died in the incident. The cause and manner of death was not immediately released.

According to Trooper Jeremie Elliott of Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 6:53 a.m. near the intersection of the 215 Beltway and Decatur Boulevard.

A black BMW was traveling west on the 215, when the car drove into the rocks between the freeway and the Decatur westbound on-ram, according to NHP.

Elliot said the car rolled several times, and the driver was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Elliot said.

Witnesses at the scene said the black BMW was driving recklessly before the crash, reaching speeds of more than 100 mph, according to Elliot.

The driver was not wearing his seatbelt, Elliot said.
