Henderson police said a businessman was taken into custody Wednesday, accused in connection with an insurance scheme that cost customers and an insurance company $895,000.

Robert Roback, 51, is the president of DriverzEdge, a business located at Stephanie Street and Warm Spring Road that provides extended warranty services.

Police said Roback failed to remit premium payments collected by DriverzEdge from customers to insurer Assurant Service Protection.

Roback is charged with three counts of felony theft.

Police said extended warranty applications purchased from the business between August and October of 2013 were not forwarded to Assurant, leaving customers without warranty coverage.

If you are concerned about your coverage, Assurant asks you to call 866-537-5064.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call the Henderson Police Department at 702-267-4750,  or to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
