Police said they were investigating the slaying of a woman in Las Vegas Friday afternoon.
The incident happened just before 3 p.m. at a home in the 6500 block of Vegas Drive.
Officer Jose Hernandes, of Las Vegas Metro police, said the victim's husband walked into the department's northwest area command office on West Cheyenne Avenue, and reported a crime at a home. He said that when officers arrived at the home, they found a woman who had sustained serious injuries.
Soon after, she was pronounced dead by medical responders.
Hernandes said the man appeared to have suffered minor injuries.
Police said the slaying seems to have stemmed from a domestic situation between a husband and wife, and there are no other suspects in the slaying. The victim was in her 20s, as is her husband.
It's not known if the couple had children, but the victim was found alone in the apartment. She had been stabbed.
