Pahrump boy, 4, crushed by backing car identified

Medical examiners released the name of a Pahrump boy who died after being crushed by a backing vehicle.

The Clark County Coroner's Office said Dallyn Chandler, 4, died of blunt force trauma of the head as a result of an accident.

According to Nye County Sheriff's Office, the boy was inside a vehicle in a driveway with two adults on Wednesday.

After one of the adults exited the vehicle, the automobile began moving backwards. The sheriff's office said the boy got out of the car while the other adult tried stopping the vehicle.

The child was run over after getting out.

The boy was rushed to University Medical Center Trauma with critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
