CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

RTA service has been restored after frozen pipes burst, causing Tower City to flood.

The pipes burst around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday and caused the eastbound trains to stop running for five hours. Passengers were instead bussed from Tower City to East 55th, where they could then board the train.

RTA spokesperson Mary Shaffer confirms that the flooding at Tower City which occurred on Thursday, Jan. 9, has affected rapid line travel east of Public Square.
