Authorities said a teen girl was arguing with her mother just before she jumped out of a moving vehicle on a busy stretch of Interstate 15.
Trooper Loy Hixson of Nevada Highway Patrol said a call of the incident was placed about 1:15 p.m. Thursday on I-15 near Charleston Boulevard.
Hixson said a white Honda Civic was traveling northbound on the interstate when a 17-year-old inside the vehicle jumped out.
The girl was rushed to University Medical Center in stable condition. Hixson said the girl was treated for injuries to her arms, legs and head.
Hixson said the right lane of the Charleston exit ramp was shut down as a result.
