There was some consolation for University of Nevada, Las Vegas' men's basketball loss against bitter rival University of Nevada, Reno.
The UNLV Lady Rebels held the Nevada Lady Wolfpack to 25 points below their season scoring average, winning in Reno, 57-49, on Wednesday night.
The win was the Lady Rebels' second straight road victory, which they achieved for the first time since 2012. The win also improved the team to 5-10 overall and 2-1 in Mountain West play.
The Lady Rebels face their next Mountain West foe, New Mexico, on Jan. 15 at Cox Pavilion.
