Police in northern Nevada on Friday said they had captured one of two inmates who escaped custody after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
The Nevada Department of Corrections said Dustin Cottiero and Corey Gomez walked away from their work assignment with the Nevada Division of Forestry in the Reno area.
Cottiero was captured on Friday. Gomez remains at large.
Cottiero had been serving time for attempted burglary in Washoe County.
Gomez was serving between 36 and 96 months for burglary and resisting a public officer with a weapon in Clark County.
Anyone who spots Gomez is asked to contact the Reno Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol or the Sparks Police Department.
