If you're planning to ring in the new year in downtown Las Vegas, the Regional Transportation Commission can get you there for free.
The RTC is offering free transit rides from 6 p.m. on Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday, including direct transit service from the Centennial Hills and Summerlin areas to downtown Las Vegas.
Folks in the Centennial Hills area can catch a ride at the Centennial Hills Transit Center Park & Ride, located on Grand Montecito Parkway, near Durango Drive and Elkhorn Road.
People in the Summerlin area can take advantage of the Westcliff Transit Center & Suncoast Casino Park & Ride, located at 25 S. Durango Dr., just south of Summerlin Parkway.
Service at these locations will be available every 20 minutes.
Riders will be dropped off at Neonopolis on Las Vegas Boulevard, where you may transfer to the Deuce on the Strip service to travel south to the Strip.
The Deuce will operate this service until the Strip is closed to traffic at 6 p.m. After that, you can take the Deuce from Fremont Street Experience to Mandalay Bay.
Also, the Strip & Downtown Express will operate from the Las Vegas Premium Outlets to the South Strip Transfer Terminal.
