Everyone knows about America's Party, the massive New Year's Eve celebration on the Las Vegas Strip, with fireworks, music and entertainment. If dealing with thousands of people isn't your idea of a good time, there are plenty of other options.
At the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas, you can rock out to bands like Loverboy, Papa Roach, Blues Traveler, Clockwork and Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe on multiple stages.
The celebration starts at 6 a.m. and won't wrap until 3 a.m. Tickets are $40 and the show will include a countdown to midnight with Mayor Carolyn Goodman as well as fireworks.
If you're looking for family entertainment and don't want to stay up until midnight, the Magical Forest at Opportunity Village has you covered. You can ring in the new year on East Coast time, from 5:30 until 9 p.m. Admission is $11 for adults and $9 for kids. For more information, visit www.magicalforest.com.
Town Square Las Vegas has plenty of daytime activities for the family on Tuesday, including inflatable slides, bounce houses, a rock wall and face-painting stations. You can count down to the new year with a juice box toast at noon. For more information, visit www.mytownsquarelasvegas.com.
Station Casinos properties will offer live entertainment and drink specials. Tickets may be purchased at any Station Casinos Reward Center or online at www.stationcasinos.com/concerts.
