With just one day left until Christmas, people are racing to get those last-minute gifts.

"We've been open 365 days a year since the shopping center opened in 2000. We always get a big crowd during the holidays," said Miracle Mile Shops Senior Marketing Director Wendy Albert.

Albert says on Christmas Eve, the shops will see about 100,000 last-minute shoppers come in and out of the doors, customers like Emily Tate.

"I'm getting gifts for tomorrow, which is Christmas Day, so getting some last-minute things," Tate said.

Tate and her family came all the way from Australia to celebrate Christmas. She said there are many reasons she waits until the last minute to shop every year.

"I kind of go shopping for myself and then I treat everyone later, but I get there, I definitely get there," said Tate.

Tate said navigating the shops was a bit difficult at times.

"It was pretty hectic, you know, racing around, trying to find something perfect. I'm finally getting it all together, and I'll be done soon," Tate said.

Maybe next year she'll reconsider waiting so long.

"All the time, all the time, but it never works out that way," she said.

It's shoppers like Tate and the other thousands of people who've kept the shops packed, making for a busy day for store employees like Pandora Assistant Manager April Kline. She said traffic in and out of the store has been nonstop.

"It's nice to actually to be busier. I'd much rather be busier than slow, so it's nice to keep it at a fast pace," says Kline.

With 170 shops ranging from H&M to the Gap, and even specialty stores like Pandora, Albert said there's something for everyone, and if your shopping is done and the gifts are under the tree, there's more shopping to be done on Christmas Day.

"You know, they're looking for some unique items which we have. They're looking for great deals, which a lot of the stores are offering wonderful things right now, so yeah, it's the best time to go shopping," Albert said.

The Miracle Mile Shops will be open Christmas Day from 10 in the morning until 11 at night.
