LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police are seeking a man who posed as a customer before robbing an eatery in the west end of Las Vegas.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, the man entered the business in the 6100 block of Vegas Drive last month.

The man placed his order and once the cash register was opened by the cashier, the suspect pointed a semi-automatic weapon at the worker, police said.

The man reached over the counter, removed cash from the drawer and fled.

Police described the suspect as a black man, 18 to 25 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black gym-type shorts, a black hooded shirt, gray sweatpants hanging around his neck, and a patterned backpack.

Police urged anyone with information on the case to contact Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591,  or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
