LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Authorities released the name of the person killed in a triple shooting outside of a hookah lounge in the west end of the Las Vegas Valley.
The Clark County Coroner's Office said Darren Lawerance, 21, of North Las Vegas, died of a gunshot wound of the chest as a result of a homicide.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, Lawerance was one of three people wounded after gunshots rang in the parking lot of the Cazino Hookah Lounge in the 5100 block of Spring Mountain Road about 4 a.m. Sunday.
All three victims were rushed to University Medical Center, where one of them was pronounced dead, police said.
One other person was listed in critical condition while a third wounded person suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said an investigation showed the lounge was closing and patrons were exiting the business. While those patrons were in the parking lot, numerous gunshots were fired, police said.
Police have not identified any suspects in the case.
Police urged anyone with information on the incident to contact Metro's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 792-385-5555.
