LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Metro police said two of their patrol vehicles were damaged Monday when a man being sought for theft rammed them with a stolen vehicle.
Samual Donesing, 23, of Las Vegas, was taken into custody following the incident and booked into Clark County Detention Center for grand larceny auto, possession of a stolen vehicle, auto burglary and prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
Police said the incident began just before 10 a.m. when officers attempted to stop Donesing near Decatur Boulevard and Flamingo Road.
Police said the vehicle Donesing was driving, a black Mercedes 350, had been stolen in a home burglary and that he was wanted on a felony warrant involving the theft of another vehicle.
When officers attempted to surround the vehicle, Donesing hit the accelerator and struck two unmarked Metro patrol vehicles. One sustained minor damage and the other received moderate front-end damage.
Police said Donesing then sped off, but because he rammed the patrol vehicles, his Mercedes broke down near Spring Mountain Road and Decatur.
He was then taken into custody without incident.
