HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

A 22-year-old man charged with murder in the shooting of a woman inside his Henderson home entered a not guilty plea in court Tuesday.

Colin Lowrey appeared in Clark County District Court for his arraignment in the Oct. 22 shooting case of Cherish Pincombe, 23. In court, Lowrey was no longer in custody at Henderson Detention Center after posting bail.

His bail was set at $200,000.

According to police, Pincombe was a houseguest at Lowrey's residence whom he shares with three other roommates.

Police said Lowrey took out the gun while he and the victim were chatting with people online. Lowrey told police after cleaning it, he left the gun unloaded on a desk next to the computer.

After using the bathroom, Lowrey claimed Pincombe asked him to point the handgun at her head. Lowrey told police he assumed the weapon was unloaded. Lowrey, though, pulled the trigger, wounding the victim, police said.

Police also said Lowrey believed Pincombe may have loaded the weapon while he was in the bathroom.

A judge set Lowrey's next court date for Feb. 7, 2014.
