A part of Interstate 15 in northwest Arizona that was closed early Sunday morning because of icy conditions reopened by early afternoon.
According to Tom Herrmann, spokesman for the Arizona Department of Transportation, the interstate was closed about midnight because of winter driving conditions.
The department's official Twitter account indicated the highway was closed from Littlefield, AZ, to the Utah state line.
Herrmann said crews from both ADOT and the Utah Department of Transportation worked together to clear the roadway. He said I-15 was reopened about 12:30 p.m.
Information about driving conditions in Arizona can be found on the department's information website at az511.gov.
